About Us


Since its grand opening in 1998, Havana Club Restaurant and Bar has been a pillar of the community among other well established restaurants. Because of its delicious Cuban cuisine and fantastic ambience, it brings you the flavor of the island of Cuba.

Its delicious Cuban Cuisine is credited to 40 year Master Chef Ruben Valenzuela. Chef Ruben learned the art of authentic Cuban cuisine hands on at the famous landmark Cuban restaurant “El Colmao” located in down town L.A. Since its opening 15 years ago Chef Ruben has been part of Havana Club Restaurant family and has passed along his expertise to the restaurant’s other chef, Alfredo Hernandez.


Our Story


In 2005 the restaurant was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Ignacio (Nacho) and Teresa Ramirez. Mr. Ramirez always dreamed about owning and operating his own restaurant. He wanted something different, unique and to stand out among the others in the community. As Mr. Ramirez said, “I wanted something special.”

Mr. and Mrs. Ramirez always loved to eat out on a weekly basis. They enjoyed trying the different restaurants that the community had to offer. Yet their favorite was always “Havana Club Restaurant.” With its delicious exotic Cuban cuisine and wonderful Caribbean atmosphere they were regulars. The two became so in love with the restaurant that while having dinner there one evening Mr. Ramirez asked the present owner if he was interested in selling it. Within ten days Mr. and Mrs. Ramirez were the new proud owners of this well known establishment.
